Bold claim first: Fixify is expanding in Cork by creating 50 high-tech jobs, signaling a significant boost to Ireland’s tech scene—and that kind of investment sparks strong opinions about regional growth, talent pipelines, and the future of AI-driven IT support.
Fixify plans to establish its EU Centre of Excellence in Cork city, adding 50 new positions over the next 18 months. The firm specializes in AI-powered IT support automation and aims for this facility to stand as a regional hub for development, support, and global customer success.
The roles up for grabs include IT Helpdesk Analysts, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists as the company scales its operations worldwide.
According to Fixify’s leadership, locating the European base in Cork will unlock Ireland’s deep talent pool and bolster its dynamic tech ecosystem while expanding automation in a way that remains genuinely human in service delivery.
Matt Peters, Fixify’s CEO, notes that Cork combines strong technical expertise with high quality of life and a strong sense of community—conditions that foster durable, meaningful work. The company’s Director of Employee Experience and People Operations, Caroline Coughlan, describes the Cork investment as a clear vote of confidence in Ireland’s tech talent and infrastructure, with growth planned in parallel to delivering exceptional value to customers across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region over the next 18 months.
The project is supported by IDA Ireland, with the Taoiseach praising the move as a regional commitment that creates 50 high-tech roles in a growing sector. Micheál Martin highlights the anticipated boost to the local workforce through skilled roles in IT, software engineering, and data analysis, and acknowledges IDA Ireland’s role in backing the project and Fixify’s continued Cork growth.
Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Minister Peter Buke emphasizes Cork’s alignment with Ireland’s standing as a global technology and innovation hub. He notes the 50 high-quality roles will strengthen the region’s digital ecosystem and cites Cork’s deep talent pool, supported by institutions like UCC and MTU, as well as its track record in attracting high-value foreign direct investment.
IDA Ireland Chief Executive Michael Lohan remarks that Fixify’s decision underscores the South-West’s talent depth, Ireland’s vibrant culture, and a pro-business climate. He looks forward to assisting Fixify as it enhances Ireland’s reputation as a home to a thriving technology sector.
