Kalavista Tennis Courts Reopen: A Fresh Start for Community Recreation
The Kalavista Tennis Courts in Coldstream have been given a much-needed makeover, and the community is rejoicing. After a two-phase resurfacing project, the courts are now open to residents and visitors alike, offering a significantly improved playing surface for all.
The initial phase of the project involved a thorough stripping of the existing court, followed by a series of repairs and regrading to the sub base. A new gravel base and fresh asphalt were then laid down, allowing for a three-week curing period to ensure the surface was ready for action. The second phase saw the application of an acrylic playing surface, with new lines painted and tennis nets installed, creating a professional and inviting atmosphere.
