Enoch Wangoy, a Florida OT transfer, has signed with Ole Miss out of the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to Pete Nakos of On3. The 6-foot-7, 333-pound Wangoy, who is originally from Manchester, England, is looking to boost his playing time after two seasons in Gainesville. Wangoy, who only began playing football in 2023, signed with the Gators as a three-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle after reclassifying following two years at Zarephath Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.).
Despite his short time in the sport, Wangoy's potential is evident. He entered the transfer portal on January 2nd, seeking more playing time elsewhere. Wangoy's signing comes on the same day as the commitment of Joshua Dye, a former Southern Utah running back and the nation's leading rusher, to Ole Miss. Dye's addition to the Rebels' 2026 transfer class, which already includes former LSU interior lineman Carius Curne and former Oklahoma interior lineman Troy Everett, further strengthens the team.
However, this is where it gets controversial. Some may argue that Wangoy's transfer is a strategic move by Ole Miss to bolster its offensive line, while others may question the wisdom of bringing in a player with limited experience. What do you think? Is this a smart move by Ole Miss, or is it a risky decision that could backfire? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
