As part of the Young Asean Storytellers program, Aung, at 25, found himself exploring the Inlay Lake Wildlife Sanctuary, a place of wonder with its floating gardens and unique way of life. The Intha people, he discovered, live in harmony with the lake, building their homes on stilts and using their feet to navigate the waters in boats. And this is where Aung's artistic eye caught a glimpse of something special.
In 2023, Aung created a captivating image using his mobile phone. He staged a scene that highlights the traditional cloth production of the Intha people, a vibrant occupation that reflects their resilience and creativity. By displaying the cloth on the water, Aung reveals its true essence, a symbol of beauty and life amidst challenges.
But Aung's impact doesn't stop there. He has since dedicated himself to mentoring young photographers, fostering a passion for capturing the world around them.
