Xiaomi SU7 Sets New 24-Hour Endurance Record with 4,264 km | Next-Gen Electric Vehicle Breakthrough (2026)

The electric vehicle (EV) market is heating up, and Xiaomi is making a bold statement with its next-generation SU7 sedan. A true endurance champion, the SU7 has just completed a remarkable 24-hour test, covering an astonishing 4,264 km!

This achievement sets a new benchmark for mass-produced EVs, surpassing the previous record of 3,961 km held by Xpeng's P7 model. But here's where it gets even more impressive: Xiaomi's EV unit is already accepting pre-orders for this updated SU7, with an official launch planned for April. And the excitement doesn't stop there.

The Max variant of the SU7 is the star of this endurance test, showcasing its exceptional capabilities. With Xiaomi's cutting-edge V6s Plus motor, it can reach a breathtaking 22,000 rpm and a top speed of 265 km/h. This powerhouse is built on a high-voltage electric platform, featuring a massive 101.7-kWh battery that supports a peak charging rate of 5.2C. And the result? An incredible 835-kilometer range on a single charge.

The test, conducted in Yancheng, China, pushed the SU7 Max to its limits. It reached speeds of 240 km/h and operated non-stop for 24 hours, including charging time. Xiaomi's founder, Lei Jun, likened this feat to running a marathon at sprint speed, and the numbers back him up. The SU7 Max shares its thermal management system with the premium SU7 Ultra, allowing for rapid charging and extended range.

Xiaomi EV has been making waves since its establishment in 2021. Their first model, the SU7 sedan, launched in 2024, was positioned as a direct competitor to Tesla's Model 3. Since then, they've expanded their lineup with performance-focused variants like the SU7 Ultra and their first electric SUV, the YU7, taking on Tesla's Model Y. And now, with the updated SU7, they're setting new standards for endurance and performance.

As Xiaomi EV gears up for its 2026 model launches, the company aims high. They plan to introduce four new models and venture into the extended-range EV segment for the first time. With a target of delivering 550,000 vehicles in 2026, representing a significant growth rate, Xiaomi EV is poised to become a major player in the electric vehicle market. But will they succeed in this ambitious goal? The numbers look promising, but the road ahead is full of challenges. What do you think? Is Xiaomi's EV strategy on the right track, or is there a potential pitfall lurking in the shadows?
